Is organic really that much better?

Is buying organic food products money well spent? The limited scientific research suggests that some organic products have more nutrients than conventional food products. And then there is still the issue about the environment. Organic is not always 100% sustainable, and even the biological certification does not guarantee consistency. Some farmers only opt for organic agriculture because of the financial incentive from the food industry. Also, some organic products may look less than perfect – odd shapes, varying colors or smaller products. However, consumers want organic products to meet the same quality and safety standards as conventional foods. Overall, there isn’t much difference between organic and conventional foods, if consumers are making the decision based solely on their health.
